This space is mainly for me - to collect, organise, and reflect on things I've built and learned along the way, so I don't forget them. I'm sharing my learnings with the internet, because I wish they existed when I was building them! One thing I have struggled with, is whilst I know something might be "the right thing" to do, as an Principal Engineer, we can't just simply say, because it's good, How can I justify this? Whilst I might have seen what good looks like somewhere else, just saying that is not enough. I needed to learn how to explain the 'whys', I have found over time, writing these articles really helps.
